Become a MemberAGC of Kansas works with decision makers directly within federal and state governments and local municipalities to discuss issues that affect the construction industry in Kansas. Our political action committee (PAC) is a stand-alone political arm for our members, represented by a full-time lobbyist based in Topeka. Plus, we partner with AGC of America’s PAC, which is represented by 12 full-time lobbyists in Washington, D.C.

We work with more than 125 educational partners to develop and implement construction and craft training in vocational high-schools, community colleges and four-year institutions. We also has an industry image campaign, “Build Up Kansas”, targeting the 17-22 year old women/men (utilizing social media/marketing) in promoting to the younger generation the variety professional careers available in our industry.
AGC of Kansas partners with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to provide job-site safety education and outreach. We offer quality, cost-effective safety and management training programs, such as OSHA 10-Hour and foreman, superintendent and project management health and safety training.
We partner with construction management programs at Kansas State University and Pittsburg State University to put our members in touch with the next generation of construction professionals.
Competitive group health insurance and workers’ compensation programs offered to AGC of Kansas member firms were developed by contractors specifically for the construction industry.
We have an attorney on retainer to provide our member firms with legal assistance on construction-related issues.
The construction workforce works hard, but it’s not all work and no play. AGC of Kansas members celebrate a year well done by networking at our annual convention, putting in nine or 18 rounds at our golf outing or shooting the breeze – and the clay pigeons.
