USD #244 Burington Schools New Elementary School & Daycare Bond Referendum Project request for qualifications for Construction Management-At Risk Services

The patrons of USD #244, Burlington School District, are considering a construction bond issue referendum for a new Elementary School and Daycare. Due to the complexity and phasing challenges of the project, the Board of Education of USD #244 has determined that Construction Management at Risk per “Alternative Project Delivery Building Construction Procurement Act” found in K.S.A. 19-216b et seq. will provide the best value for the project. USD #244 will be selecting a CMAR firm using a three-stage qualifications-based selection process. We are pleased to invite your company to participate in the qualification stage for a significant construction project for EaglePicher Technologies to be located in Pittsburg Kansas. This project is designed to ensure that EaglePicher can effectively meet production demands while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards in Thermal Battery production. This project is being developed in conjunction with the City of Pittsburg Kansas. The City will be the Owner of the project which will be leased to EaglePicher Technologies.

Unified School District 235 Uniontown, Kansas

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK SERVICES for the following projects at the West Bourbon Elementary School and the Uniontown Middle/High School. The scope of work includes construction of a new PreSchool facility, an remodel of the entry at West Bourbon Elementary, and the installation of a new Fire Alarm at Uniontown JH/ HS. The anticipated total cost of the projects is estimated to be $1,250,000. Projects to be considered may include all or a portion of the following.

Services will include post-bond referendum Construction Management at Risk services. The bond referendum passed by public vote on March 4th, 2025.

Central Heights Unified School District No. 288

Central Heights USD 288 intends to issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to interested Contractors for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the project(s) that would result from a successful bond issue campaign in 2025. The projects would include renovations to current district facilities and new construction addition(s) to same, yet to be determined.

A formal RFQ will be available on March 19, 2025. Firms interested in receiving a copy of the RFQ shall submit a written request to the Architect: Echelon Arch + Design at Jaicey@EchelonAD.com. Goddard Unified School District 265: RFQ

Associated with recent BOE approved bond issue projects, the Goddard School District USD 265 is soliciting proposals from interested General Contractors for Construction Manager at Risk services for school construction in Goddard and Wichita, KS.
If interested, please deliver responses to the Office of the Superintendent, Unified School District 265, 201 S Main Street, Goddard, KS 67052 (attention: Dr. Justin Henry, Superintendent), no later than 3:00 p.m., April 11, 2025.

CMAR PUBLICATION FOR PHASE I

USD 107 Rock Hills School District, located in Mankato, KS, is seeking to select a Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) company for a capital project. The scope of the project includes major renovation and additions to USD 107 Rock Hills High School and smaller scopes of work at USD 107 elementary schools. Work at Rock Hills High School includes a CTE addition, renovation to existing classrooms, a secure entry and HVAC improvements. The total bond amount is projected to be approximately $11 million dollars. Interested companies may submit qualifications to meet the Phase I component of K.S.A. 64-101 and include the following information (A) Similar project experience; (B) experience in this type of delivery system; (C) references from design professionals and owners from previous projects; (D) description of construction manager or general contractor’s project management approach; and (E) bonding capacity. Please submit (10) ten copies of your information. Firms submitting a statement of qualifications shall be capable of providing a public works bond in accordance with K.S.A 60-1111, and amendments thereto, and shall present such evidence of such bonding capacity to the board with their statement or qualifications. If a firm fails to present such evidence, such firm shall be deemed unqualified for selection under this subsection. The deadline for submitting qualifications is 3:00pm, Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Qualification statements shall be sent to the attention of Superintendent Jeff Sells at USD 107 District Office, 109 E Main St, Mankato, KS 66956.
